The Low country Chapter of the Distinguished Flying Cross Society (DFCS) is a regional branch of the national DFCS, dedicated to Serving the Low Country of Georgia and South Carolina, honoring and preserving the legacy of those who have demonstrated heroism or extraordinary achievement in aerial flight. Serving the Low country region of Georgia, the chapter provides a community for recipients of the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) to connect, share experiences, and engage in educational and commemorative activities.


Established in 1994, the Distinguished Flying Cross Society is a 501(c) (19) nonprofit war veterans' organization.

ACTIVITIES & PROGRAMS
The chapter meets formally six times a year, graciously supported by the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum.
Guest speakers are invited and most recently we received a presentation from Dr. Barry Lanman, Professor of Oral History, who has supported the DFCS for many years.

MEMBERSHIP

To become a member, please visit the DFCS website (www.dfcsociety.org) and view the instructions for becoming a member. You must show proof of receiving a DFC (DD214) and will be required to pay membership dues. Once joined, contact our local chapter. There are no dues required.
